College of Agricultural Sciences announces alumni award recipients

Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences has honored three of its graduates with 2020 Outstanding Alumni Awards. The awards, which will be presented during a virtual ceremony Nov. 19, recognize the alumni for their professional achievements, according to Alan Schaffranek, director of alumni relations.

Spring 2021 plans announced, giving students, faculty and staff time to prepare

Plans for Penn State’s Spring 2021 semester, announced Oct. 4, include a later start in January; continuation of the current flexible instructional modes, including in-person; the elimination of spring break; and completion of instruction for all undergraduate and graduate students by April 30. The University will maintain its observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day on Jan. 18 for students and faculty, when no classes will be held and Dr. King’s legacy will be celebrated through a number of virtual events.

The Penn State Berks LaunchBox recently hosted a “Town Hall Discussion and Conversation on the Innovation Economy” with business and academic innovation leaders. In addition, the Berks LaunchBox will host several events and webinars in the coming weeks, including a Startup Challenge.
