WYOMISSING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Organizational Leadership baccalaureate degree program will hold an informational webinar at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9. Those interested in learning more about the degree program can connect via Zoom.

The organizational leadership degree is developed specifically for adult learners (age 24 and older) who are interested in expanding their professional horizons. It is a 123-credit degree program that provides a well-rounded, liberal arts education with a focus on the complex social, cultural and organizational issues that confront today’s leaders.

The degree prepares adult learners to build practical work skills that can be utilized immediately, including a solid foundation in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving and team building. Students can choose from a variety of electives that support and meet individual career goals. The Penn State Berks program offers accelerated hybrid seven-week courses that are held on Thursday evenings.

The degree program is enhanced by its flexibility. Students have the opportunity to earn an accelerated Certificate in Accelerated Foundations of Employment Relations and Leadership (FERL) while they are working toward their Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, giving them an advantage in the workplace while they earn their degree. Students can also choose to earn the FERL certificate and then apply those credits toward the degree program. This 12-credit certificate provides a solid foundation in leadership concepts and employment relationships and it can be completed during the fall and spring semesters of one academic year.
