Two teams of entrepreneurs from Penn State Berks were recognized with awards during the 2020 Business Plan Competition Challenge sponsored by the Berks Alliance and the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance.
From the time Tristan Morales enrolled at Penn State Berks in 2016, he seized every opportunity that came his way. Today Morales is an entrepreneur and one of the founding members of Traduki Technologies LLC.
The Penn State Berks LaunchBox, located within the GoggleWorks, will hold a Meetup titled “Entrepreneurship as a Second Career” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4.
One year after opening its doors within the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, the Berks LaunchBox has already seen how innovation can spark economic development and generate momentum in the Greater Reading community.
As part of its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, Penn State Berks is inviting prospective entrepreneurs to compete in the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance Business Plan Competition. This is an opportunity for current Penn State Berks students and alumni who graduated within the past three years to launch their business, while promoting entrepreneurial activity in Berks County.
The Penn State Berks LaunchBox is hosting a series of events, including Marketing Mondays and Tinker Tuesdays, 2-7 p.m., throughout the month of July; a Laser Cutter Safety and Orientation course; and special interest meetups in the fall.
The Berks LaunchBox will hold a series of open house events dubbed “Tinker Tuesdays” throughout the months of June and July, with the first scheduled for June 4.
