Beginning in mid-September, Penn State Berks will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and host a variety of events; each event is intended for a specific audience, including prospective and current students, the campus community, and the general public.
Días de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, will be celebrated at Penn State Berks at 6 p.m. Nov. 2. Cesar Martinez-Garza, assistant professor of mathematics at Penn State Berks and a native of Mexico City, will provide a presentation about Días de los Muertos and its cultural and spiritual significance. The event will take place in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. Mexican-themed refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
