Five faculty members were honored with awards at the end of the spring semester – three given by the University College for research, teaching and service, and two from the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses in recognition of innovative teaching practices to enhance student learning.

From providing hurricane relief in North Carolina to gaining hands-on international reporting experience in Kazakhstan, students took advantage of numerous experiential learning and service opportunities offered through the University.

Margo DelliCarpini, Penn State vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor, will be leaving the University effective June 30 to take on a new position as the provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at the College of New Jersey.
