Seven IST students chosen for Department of Defense Cyber Scholarship Program

Seven students in the College of Information Sciences and Technology have been chosen for the prestigious Department of Defense Cyber Scholarship Program in the 2020 cycle. The program is designed to encourage the recruitment of the nation’s top cyber talent and the retention of DoD personnel who have skills necessary to meet the agency’s cyber requirements and help secure the United States against threats of information systems and networks.

Schmidt creates scholarship at Penn State Berks for RAC

Rolf D. Schmidt, a German immigrant and Berks County entrepreneur, recently committed $250,000 to establish the Schmidt Family Scholarship Fund, a new endowed scholarship for students with demonstrated financial need who enroll in one of Penn State Berks' baccalaureate degree programs upon graduation from Reading Area Community College.

Provost award increases to $1,500 for students accepted into STEP

Penn State Provost Nicholas Jones has approved a 50 percent increase in the amount of scholarship dollars for rising juniors from the Commonwealth Campuses who are part of the 2016 Student Transitional Experiences Program (STEP). These students will now receive a $1,500 STEP Scholarship Award, up from the $1,000 awarded in previous years.
