Julie Ealy, associate professor of chemistry at Penn State Lehigh Valley; Eric Hudson, associate professor of physics in Eberly College of Science; and Kirwin Shaffer, professor of Latin American studies at Penn State Berks; have received the Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and have been named 2021 Penn State Teaching Fellows.

The COVID-19 pandemic challenged students and instructors alike to adapt to remote teaching and learning. The challenges of the online learning environment range from rethinking group work to combating Zoom fatigue.

Ebonie Cunningham Stringer, assistant professor of criminal justice at Penn State Berks, has been tapped to join the board of directors of the newly formed Lehigh Valley Justice Institute.

Randall Fegley, associate professor of history and political science at Penn State Berks, recently published a book titled "Reflections on Old Order German Sects in Berks County: Past, Present and Future" through Masthof Press and Bookstore. In addition to Fegley, the book is edited by 2012 Penn State Berks alumnus Owen Reitenauer and Zachary Stoltzfus.
