Camryn Hicks, a senior business major at Penn State Berks from Harleysville, Pennsylvania, was a member of one of only 10 global teams to win the X-Culture Program competition, a large-scale international experiential learning project in which students work together to solve real-world business challenges.

Jannah Martin sees conlangs, and her own constructed language in particular, as a means of bringing cultures together and closing that gap of otherness. Martin, a senior communication arts and sciences major at Penn State Berks, is completing a Schreyer Honors College thesis by constructing a language intended to serve as a bridge language.

Flemming CEED Center announces Customer Discovery Lab workshops

Budding entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the Penn State Berks Flemming Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center’s Customer Discovery Lab, a six-week series of workshops that will provide commercialization training and mentorship, as well as the opportunity to apply for micro-grants, for up to 30 startup teams per year.

Brooke Chiappetta was born into a Penn State family, so when she was applying to colleges, Penn State was at the top of her list. On Dec. 15, she will join the ‘lion’s pride’ when she walks across the stage as student marshal –– graduating magna cum laude –– to receive her diploma from Penn State Berks.
