At Penn State Berks, we encourage all prospective and current students to proactively research and apply for non-Berks "outside" scholarships.
The following are some suggestions for you to consider, but there are many other sources for you to research on your own.
- If you are in high school, ask your guidance counselor for recommendations, and ask your parents if their employer awards scholarships to children of employees.
- Current Penn State Berks students: ask your academic adviser and faculty if your major has scholarship opportunities (i.e., The College of Agriculture, The Smeal College of Business, etc.).
- Everyone can research external scholarships via the internet, community organizations, and/or organizations with which you are involved.
Visit Penn State Student Aid for additional information.
Penn State also recommends the following scholarship search engines:
Berks County students are also encouraged to look into scholarship opportunities at The Berks County Community Foundation and College Connection Scholarships (search Berks County).
