Students admitted fall and summer 

  • Beginning in March, you will gain access to the NSO Tasklist. You will be able to register for a NSO date through this Tasklist starting in April. This list will provide you with all the items that must be completed before, during, and after NSO.
  • Prior to your scheduled NSO date, your Penn State email will become active. You will need to use this email for all Penn State correspondence moving forward, including NSO.
  • June - August: You will attend an in-person NSO. Students must attend NSO in order to receive a first semester schedule of courses.

Students admitted spring

  • Beginning in November, you will gain access to the NSO Tasklist where you will be able to register for an NSO date. This list will provide you with all the items that must be completed before, during, and after NSO.
