Penn State Berks connects with Penn State alumni through five different organizations: The Alumni Relations Office, the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) Affiliate Program Groups (APG), and the Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association.
Alumni Relations at Penn State Berks
The Alumni Relations Office is the primary communications link between Penn State Berks and our alumni. It is our goal to encourage and foster lifelong alumni participation, involvement, and commitment.

Affiliate Program Group
Affiliate Program Groups (APGs) include alumni or friends of Penn State who have a common interest in a particular academic, professional, or extracurricular activity that is related to a specific college or campus program. There are two Affiliate Program Groups at Penn State Berks: the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute (WPI) APG, and the Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) APG.

Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association
The Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is chartered through the main Penn State Alumni Association and serves any Penn State Alumni in the Berks County area. However, you do not need to be a member of the Alumni Association to be a member of the Berks County Chapter. Membership is open to any alumni, family of alumni, faculty, staff, students, or friends of Penn State that live or work in Berks County. Many chapter events are open not only to members, but also to any Penn State Alumni or friends of the University.
The Penn State Alumni Association
The Penn State Alumni Association began with 12 members in 1870 and has since grown to over 750,000 strong. This powerful network is the largest dues-paying alumni association in the country. Its mission is to connect alumni to the University and to each other, provide valuable services to its members, and support the University's mission of teaching, research, and service.
