The Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State has announced seven recipients of its IMAGINE Your Business grant, designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs accelerate their business growth. The program awards up to $2,000 to assist startups with prototyping, marketing, product development and other essential business expenses.
The Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State recently announced the winners of its Idea TestLab Pitch Competition in an award ceremony held on Nov. 5. Renaissance Labs earned first place, HT Organic Solutions took second place, and Heintz Tax Service placed third. In addition, this year’s Advisor’s Spotlight Award was presented to Jen Kutchner and Ruby Rodriguez of the Gilded Page.

Penn State Berks will host a variety of events during Global Entrepreneurship Week at Penn State 2025, kicking off Friday, Nov. 14, and running through Friday, Nov. 21. Events include lectures, networking and workshops, and some require advanced registration.
The Penn State Berks Office of International Student Services, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs and the Global Studies degree program, will celebrate International Education Week from Nov. 17 to 21. This year’s theme is "One World, Many Voices." There are events for students, faculty and staff that celebrate education abroad, global studies, international students, cultural traditions and Friendsgiving.
The Penn State Berks International Klub will host its third annual Diwali Garba Night on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center. The event will include Garba workshop, dancing, music, refreshments and crafts. This event is free and open to the public, but advanced registration is recommended.

Penn State Berks will host an online screening of the film “Merchants of Doubt” on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 5 of the Luerssen Science Building. Refreshments will be served prior to the event at 6:30 p.m. The film will be livestreamed from University Park. A panel discussion examining the state of science in our public discourse and policymaking today and how we can protect its role in our decision-making will follow the screening. The event is free and open to the public.
The Center for Faculty Development and Advancement invites program chairs, graduate program chairs, program directors, professors in charge, and others within the Penn State community who carry responsibilities in academic leadership to a session focusing on "Managing Challenges: Addressing Student Concerns," scheduled for Oct 23 from 1 to 2 p.m.
