About the Program
This foundational class will teach you the basic skills to create and manage a project schedule using MS Project 2019. You will learn to use the tools and functionality of this program to effectively control your project and resources.
Career Potential
There are many positions and companies looking for applicants with MS Project experience. Some titles include Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Engineer and Logistics Engineer.

Meet the Instructor
Daral Woerle has been providing leadership, training, and consulting services to private businesses and government organizations for over 20 years. Daral has earned the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. In addition, he has developed and taught intermediate and advanced project management courses for private training companies and Penn State.
Course Offerings
Introduction to Microsoft Project (PJMGT 5020)
You will learn how to:
- Navigate the program interface
- Enter tasks
- Enter durations
- Establish task dependencies
- Assign and manage resources
- Set project calendars
- Set the project baseline
- Use various views and reports to communicate
- Track critical path tasks
- Track progress and determine schedule variances
The class will consist of two 4 hour sessions. Student will be provided with access to a computer and MS Project 2019.
