Additional Resources and Opportunities

In addition to the Student Disability Resources office, Penn State Berks offers many diverse student services that support the students in a variety of ways, from help with getting involved to guidance through financial aid and so much more. These offices and resources include:

  • The Academic Advising Center: The Advising Center can help you with general academic advising and major exploration.
  • Accessibility: Learn how Penn State makes campus resources available to everyone.
  • Career Services: Career Services can help you with résumé writing, connect you with internships, or help you find a job after graduation.
  • Counseling Services: Your mental health is important. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are available to help you through crisis and connect with short- and long-term counseling needs.
  • Health Services: Health Services is an on-campus office that helps students address cold symptoms, digestive issues, and so much more.
  • Housing and Food Services: Learn about housing contracts, meal plans, and more.
  • Information Technology: Get connected to the WiFi, download software, and more.
  • The Learning Center: The Learning Center features peer and professional tutors who can help you succeed in your math, science, and languages classes and more.
  • Police Services: Penn State Berks proudly boasts 24/7 safety and emergency services.
  • Scholarships: Penn State offers a variety of scholarships specifically for students with disabilities.
  • Thun Library: The Thun Library offers private study rooms, a media commons for video and audio production, and a new sensory room for neurodivergent students.
  • Veterans Services: Our certifying officials can help you get the most out of your education benefits.
  • The Writing Center: College-level writing can be difficult, but the Writing Center can help you improve your lab reports, research papers, personal essays for graduate school applications, and more.
