Penn State Berks to hold AI in Manufacturing Summit, Feb. 6

Penn State Berks will hold its inaugural AI in Manufacturing Summit on Friday, Feb. 6, bringing together faculty experts, industry leaders and cutting-edge technology professionals for a day of collaboration, insight and hands-on learning. This event is targeted to small- and medium-sized manufacturers and technology professionals. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.

Penn State Berks invites prospective students to campus tour on Jan. 31

Visiting a college campus is the best way for students to decide whether it’s the right place for them. Prospective students and their families can do just that through the Penn State Berks Saturday Tour event, a campus tour with a brief introduction to admissions, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 31. This event will begin in Room 101 of the Franco Building.

Penn State Berks graduates 16 students from practical nursing program

Sixteen new Penn State Berks practical nursing program graduates crossed the stage during the Penn State Berks fall commencement on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at the Santander Arena. The students earned their certificates in practical nursing and are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination-Practical Nurse, or NCLEX-PN.

Penn State Berks adopts Lyft program to serve student needs

In an effort to better serve the needs of its student body, Penn State Berks has entered into an agreement with Lyft, which allows the college to provide free, convenient (and carbon-neutral) rides for students. It’s called Penn State Berks Emergency Rides 2026, and it’s set up through Lyft’s pass program. The agreement was coordinated through Penn State’s Office of Transportation Services and it allows Penn State Berks to tailor the parameters to meet student needs.

Faculty team’s new resources for U.S. privacy education aim to protect consumers

A growing area of instruction and programming in educational library services, privacy literacy emphasizes making informed choices about managing one’s personal information and understanding its role in the information ecosystem. Earlier this year, three Penn State faculty convened a national initiative called Libraries Stand for Privacy and now are seeking feedback on its resulting educational resources.

Berks Senior Spotlight: Emma Pehote, student marshal

Emma Pehote, student marshal for the Penn State Berks fall commencement ceremony, will give a speech titled “Life Is Not Linear,” a reflection of her journey which has led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in integrative science with a minor in psychology. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Santander Arena in downtown Reading.
