Penn State Berks celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with free events

As part of the college’s ongoing efforts to engage with and support the local Hispanic and Latino communities, Penn State Berks will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Sept. 15 – Oct. 15, with a variety of vibrant events, educational presentations and cultural showcases. These events include dynamic speakers, Latin cuisine, music, dancing and much more. All events are free and open to the public and most are held at Penn State Berks, except "Connect & Inspire," which will be held at Centro Hispano in downtown Reading.

Penn State Berks kicks off first Biology Ahead summer bridge program

This summer, Penn State Berks held its inaugural Biology Ahead summer bridge program for incoming students interested in majoring in biology or a related life science. The goal of the program, which ran from July 6 to July 14, is to enhance academic preparedness and create a support system for a diverse group of students studying the biological sciences. 

Penn State Berks offers professional development for industry certifications

Penn State Berks supports workforce advancement through its continuing education division by offering comprehensive preparation courses for two prestigious industry certifications: the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) / SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).

Penn State Berks to welcome first-year students into residence halls Aug. 22

Penn State Berks will welcome approximately 400 first-year students to its residential community as part of the campus' annual orientation program beginning on Friday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students should refer to the campus map for move-in directions. Returning students will move in from Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24. Welcome Weekend programs and activities will be held from Aug. 22 through Aug. 24.
