WYOMISSING, Pa. — Penn State Berks will hold a series of webinars throughout the month of May for both accepted and prospective students, providing participants with an opportunity to ask questions and connect with campus experts.
Tour the Berks Science Labs — May 6 at 6 p.m.
Students who are interested in studying the sciences or are considering a career in research or a healthcare profession should join this webinar. Penn State Berks chemistry research support technician and lab manager Greglynn Gibbs will take students on a virtual tour of the college’s state-of-the-art science laboratories and technologies. After the tour, she will answer questions and attendees will hear from current students who have taken labs and conducted research at Berks.
Housing & Food Services and Residence Life — May 13 at 6 p.m.
Accepted and prospective students are invited to join staff from Housing & Food Services and Residence Life for an information session that will provide a snapshot of what it's like to live, learn, and make memories that last a lifetime in our on-campus residence halls. This session will include lots of photos of our two residence halls. Attendees will also learn the step-by-step process to securing a housing contract and meal plan.
"Should I Stay or Should I Go?" — May 20 at 6 p.m.
At Penn State Berks, students have the opportunity to start most of Penn State's 275+ academic majors in the 2+2 Plan, or they can stay all four years and graduate from Berks in one of our 20 baccalaureate degree programs. Berks students and alumni will share their personal experiences in the 2+2 Program and in Berks majors. Attendees will discover that Berks offers the best of both worlds, regardless of which academic path they choose.
Before the webinar, prospective students can review the Experience Penn State page to find additional online resources, answers to frequently asked questions and information about next steps in the admissions process.
In addition to these events, prospective students can schedule a one-on-one virtual visit with an admissions counselor to get answers to individual questions.
