Mexico's rich dance traditions coming to Penn State Berks Nov. 18

READING, Pa. — Calpulli Mexican Dance Company will bring the rich dance traditions of Mexico to Penn State Berks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Calpulli’s performance at Penn State Berks will feature visually stunning costumes and choreography. The company's performances have been compared to the traditions of Mexico: colorful, passionate and inviting. Calpulli’s fresh, vital repertoire honors Mexico’s past and Mexican-American cultural expression in the United States today. Its mission is to produce dance-based programming incorporating live music to promote the rich diversity of Mexican and Mexican-American cultural heritage.
