The Penn State Berks Theatre Department will present the annual Festival of Plays, a showcase of student written and produced plays, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium on campus. This event is free and open to the public.
During the Festival of Plays, students enrolled in the Introduction to Theatre and Introduction to Acting courses will perform the short plays that they have written and produced as part of their course work. This year’s festival includes three 10-minute plays. The event is coordinated by Theatre Department faculty member Samantha Clarke.
The bachelor of arts in theater at Penn State Berks provides students with a solid foundation to become successful theater artists and effective theater educators. The degree program also trains students in the skills to become effective communicators and professional program managers.
