Entrepreneur Hilary Corna brings inspirational message to Berks

READING, Pa. — In 2010, Hilary Corna left a prestigious international corporate position as senior executive officer with Toyota to pursue a career in writing, and she has never looked back. Today she is a serial entrepreneur, best-selling author and advocate for change. Her mission is to inspire boldness and courage and to encourage students to become global leaders. She will bring that message to Penn State Berks at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

After returning to the United States, Corna published a memoir about her time abroad, "One White Face," that has been featured in The New York Times, NBC, and ForbesWoman. In her presentations, she shares vulnerable, thought-provoking stories and lessons learned while working at Toyota that cover topics such as leadership, diversity and female empowerment. Students will learn how they can apply these lessons on campus and beyond and how to thrive in our global society.
