Undergraduate students from colleges across and beyond Pennsylvania presented posters related to their summer internships at Penn State College of Medicine on Aug. 1 at the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.
An enthusiastic group of about 75 community leaders; city and county officials; Penn State Berks faculty, staff and students; and Penn State Health St. Joseph physicians and administrators, participated in a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the Langan LaunchBox, a signature social entrepreneurship and business accelerator program established with a $50,000 grant from the Invent Penn State Initiative.
Five dancers and a busload of their supporters from the Penn State Berks community traveled to Penn State University Park campus to participate in THON during the weekend of Feb. 17-19. As a result of the 46-hour dance marathon and a year of fundraising efforts, Berks benefiting THON contributed $62,531.35, ranking third among Penn State campuses. THON raised a grand total of $10,045,478.44 million for the Four Diamonds Fund.
A new class of 171 Penn State Berks students will receive their baccalaureate and associate degrees at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the Beaver Community Center when Berks hosts the fall 2016 commencement ceremony.
Community members and county officials joined Penn State Berks faculty, staff and students, as well as Penn State Health St. Joseph physicians and administrators, for the inaugural event announcing the Langan LaunchBox on Oct. 25.
