Watch Penn State Berks’ new video titled “One Community Impacting Many,” which showcases the depth and breadth of the college’s positive effects on the surrounding region.
Berks students, community members, and Olivet Boys & Girls children will gather in Northwest Reading to clean up Baer Park and a section of the Schuylkill River Trail, from the River Road trail head to the Buttonwood Street Bridge, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.
Berks students teamed up with the City of Reading Public Works Department to implement projects that will inform residents about the harmful effects of dumping chemicals and litter into the storm drains leading into the Schuylkill River.
Penn State Berks will join local community organizations to host a free Family Nature Festival from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on April 28. The festival will be held on a half-mile section of the Schuylkill River Trail, beginning at the River Road trailhead in Northwest Reading across from Baer Park. This event is free and open to the public.
