The 329 elementary and middle school students who participated in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League Challenge used the competition elements as building blocks to learn about teamwork, problem-solving and gracious professionalism.
The innovators of tomorrow will be practicing imaginative thinking and teamwork during the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, set to run from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, with a snow date of Saturday, Feb. 10. This is the second consecutive year for the event at Penn State Berks.
On April 25, 11 undergraduate students representing Penn State campuses throughout Pennsylvania presented their research to an audience of legislators at the Undergraduate Research at the Capitol—Pennsylvania (URC-PA) conference.
Excitement is building as the Penn State Berks community prepares for the FIRST Lego League Challenge, set to run from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the Penn State Berks Perkins Student Center. In the competition, fourth- through eighth-graders will be immersed in real-world science and technology challenges.
