Penn State Berks is reaching out to the local community in a new way — through LionSide Chats, a modern interpretation of former President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Depression-era “Fireside Chats.”

The founder and author of PostSecret, Frank Warren, will visit Penn State Berks virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m.

David Witwer, 2020-21 Penn State Laureate will give a virtual presentation titled "Searching for Jimmy Hoffa" for the Penn State Berks community on Friday, Oct. 2.

The Penn State Berks Diversity Committee, in collaboration with the Rainbow Alliance student organization, is holding a student art competition to celebrate LGBT History Month in October.

Beginning in mid-September, Penn State Berks will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and host a variety of virtual events via Zoom.

Leaders from business, industry and government from around the state are invited to a town hall meeting about the innovation economy.

Penn State Berks will hold its annual “Penn State Day” admissions event for prospective students virtually via Zoom from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Penn State Berks Freyberger Gallery has announced that it will hold a series of virtual exhibitions this fall in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations on social distancing to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

While many Penn State Berks students will be learning remotely this fall, they will still be able to engage in campus life through a series of virtual programs.
