Libraries announces 'Through the Woods' Short Stories fall contest winners

The winning selections from Penn State University Libraries Short Stories’ “Through the Woods” fall 2021 contest have been announced, representing five Penn State campuses. Each of the four Editorial Board winners and the People’s Choice winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. All winning entries, including nine honorable mentions, will be added to the Libraries’ Short Edition short-story dispensers

Berks' mainstage production, 'Proof,' opens Dec. 2

Penn State Berks will present its fall mainstage theater production, "Proof," at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, to Sunday Dec. 5, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. Admission is $5 for Penn State students, faculty and staff with a Penn State ID, and $10 for general admission.

Berks art competition celebrates LGBTQ+ Month

In celebration of LGBTQ+ Month and National Coming Out Day, Penn State Berks held a student art competition. Students were invited to submit their original artwork inspired by an LGBTQ+ cultural or historical figure.

As part of the "Global Oscars Comes to Berks," Penn State Berks will present the film "The Man Who Sold his Skin," at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, in room 5 of the Luerssen Building. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Shara McCallum to visit Penn State Berks, Oct. 25

Shara McCallum, 2021-22 Penn State Laureate and Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of English, will visit Penn State Berks to read from her works at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25. The event, which will take place in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium, is free and open to the public.
