Diana Stoltzfus has certainly made the most of her college experience at Penn State Berks, from conducting research on the effects of virtual reality on exercise, to earning a 4.0 GPA, to being a star player on the women’s volleyball team. She will graduate as student marshal during Berks' fall 2024 commencement ceremony, set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Santander Arena in Reading. The title of her commencement speech is "The Power of Perseverance."
The Penn State Berks Softball Team defeated top seed Penn College, 5-3, to win the United East Championship on May 8, and making the NCAA Tournament, which is a field of 62 teams out of 400 schools that offer softball. Briana Smith, who stepped it up to another level in the circle and at the plate, was named the United East Tournament MVP.
On Saturday, Dec. 4, Penn State Berks will host the National Collegiate Rugby East Coast Semifinal Championship for the Chesapeake Conference. Games will be held at 1 and 3 p.m. Both games will be held on the college’s athletic turf field, directly behind the Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center. Despite being out of college for over a year now, former baseball standout Toby Welk is still receiving recognition for his brilliant career at Penn State Berks.
The Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has determined that it is in the best interests of student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans to cancel all fall sports competition. Abington, Berks and Harrisburg belong to the NEAC.
Kylie Herman was selected to the All-NEAC First Team and Katie Armstrong was named to the second team, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

The Penn State Berks women's soccer team won its seventh straight North Eastern Athletic Conference championship after topping Penn State Harrisburg 5-0 on Nov. 10.
