Michael Fidanza, professor of plant and soil sciences at Penn State Berks, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy. Up to 0.3 percent of the Society’s active and emeritus members may be elected Fellow.
Lorena Tribe, associate professor of chemistry at Penn State Berks, has been named a Fellow of the American Chemical Society. She is the only professor at a Penn State campus other than University Park to receive this honor.
Five members of the Penn State University Libraries — Ann Thompson, Wendy Stodart, John Shank, Jacqueline Peagler, and Karla Schmit — were honored for their outstanding contributions toward the success of Libraries’ operations, diversity and inclusion, and innovation. Four projects have been selected to receive funding through the Penn State College of Engineering's new Multi-campus Seed Grant program. The program aims to foster research collaborations between engineering faculty at the University Park campus and at the Commonwealth campuses.
The Integrative Studies Seed Grant Program, offered through the Penn State Office for General Education, will support 71 different course development projects this summer.
