University Police and Public Safety remains operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the department is offering public safety programming for students and employees virtually University-wide. 

To help during the COVID-19 crisis, Penn State Berks alumnus and entrepreneur Joe Sinclair's Reading-based 3D-printer manufacturing business, Verde Mantis, has created a design that is being used to print the component of face shields that holds the translucent shield in place.

As Pennsylvania moved on April 1 to extend its "Stay at Home" order to all counties, Penn State campuses across the commonwealth already had practices in place that align with the governor’s current and previous orders.

After nearly 20 years of distinguished service to Penn State Berks, University Police Deputy Chief Kevin Rudy will retire on Aug. 31, 2019. His retirement is the culmination of nearly 40 years in law enforcement.

Penn State police officers across Pennsylvania will host events for Penn State employees this summer featuring a variety of refreshments, from free coffee to pizza to ice cream and more.

The "Exercise is Medicine on Campus" program at Penn State Berks has been recognized as a gold-level program by the American College of Sports Medicine, the organization that originated the Exercise is Medicine global initiative.
