Military Times recently announced its "Best for Vets: Colleges 2019" rankings, and Penn State Berks ranked as one of the five best colleges for service members, military veterans and their families in Pennsylvania.

Approximately 125 first-graders from the 10th and Green Elementary School in the Reading School District will visit Penn State Berks for the third annual Math and Science Day on Oct. 15. The program is hosted and coordinated by the college’s elementary and early childhood education degree program.
3D printing, or additive manufacturing, as it’s more formally known, has enabled innovations in manufacturing and production. However, it’s also contributing to the 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic waste that's been generated since 1950. Penn State startup Trimatis LLC believes it can help combat this problem by converting plastic waste into 3D printing filament.
