Berks has been named a Guard-Friendly School by the Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (PNGAS). The college is one of just 30 institutions of higher education to receive this inaugural designation during the PNGAS Awards on Nov. 8.

The Exercise is Medicine program at Penn State Berks has been recognized as a silver-level program by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the organization that originated the Exercise is Medicine global initiative.
The Penn State Berks baccalaureate degree program in mechanical engineering has recently been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.
