Kelly Albino graduated from Stonehill College in May 2008 with a BA in English and Gender and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Secondary Education. She is currently teaching seventh grade on Cape Cod and hopes to one day implement a successful Community-Based Learning program in her own classroom. She plans to pursue a master's degree in education within the next few years.
Stacy Beaty is a student at Northampton Community College and will graduate in May 2013 with an AS degree in Biological Science. Stacy has been involved with service-learning and research, and she is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She plans to transfer to a four-year school to earn her BS degree in Nutritional Science and Dietetics.
Christine Burns is a student at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. In 2014, she will graduate with a BS in environmental science. She is an intern at Dickinson's Center for Sustainability Education, and she will be spending the Spring 2013 semester studying abroad at the School for Field Studies in Tanzania.
Jordan Conwell is a first year graduate student in the PhD program in sociology at Northwestern University. His research agenda broadly concerns the experiences of students of color (both U.S.-born and immigrant) in the 21st century U.S. school context and is specifically focused on the roles of educators, school staff, other advocates, and targeted outreach programs in improving educational outcomes for such students. In May 2012 he graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine as a double major in sociology and rhetorical theory and criticism, where he was involved in community engagement with local schools and educational outreach efforts.
Jeannine Donnelly graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in May 2012 with a BA in Communication and Public Health. Jeannine hopes to pursue a career in Health Communication in the Washington DC area.
Emily Du is a sophomore at Duke University who will graduate with a BS in neuroscience in 2015. Her passions also include global health and literature. Emily plans to study abroad and travel before obtaining a doctoral degree in medicine.
Lindsay Finn graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University in May 2012 with a BS in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Lindsay has been involved in research and service throughout her college career. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine, specializing in pediatrics.
Michael Frank is a student at Purdue University and will graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. He is also a research assistant at the Cooling Technologies Research Center and officer in the Engineers Without Borders student organization, both at Purdue. Future considerations include graduate-level study related to mechanical engineering.
Paula Goldman is a 2012 graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she earned a BS in Preprofessional Studies as well as a second major in Psychology and a minor in Poverty Studies. She is currently a student at the University of Michigan Medical School. After earning her MD, she hopes to devote her medical career to caring for the medically underserved and improving domestic health disparities.
Paola Gonzalez graduated from the University of South Florida in August 2012 with a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Health Science. Paola has been working on community-based research projects for the last two years; including an NSF-funded project in Bolivia and projects with Moses House in the Tampa Bay area. She plans to attend graduate school to pursue a Master's degree in applied anthropology and public health.
Courtney Gray is a student at Merrimack College and will graduate with a BA in sociology and women's and gender studies in May, 2013. Courtney has been involved in Campus Ministry service opportunities such as alternative spring break and tutoring at a local YMCA. She plans to pursue a master's degree in social work.
Holly Hankley is a transfer student at Virginia Commonwealth University, pursuing her undergraduate degree in Early Elementary Education. In the fall of 2010 she became a member of VCU's AmeriCorps program, and currently stands as the Program Assistant for the 2012-2013 service year. Holly has been actively engaged in service learning at VCU, and she has continued to work as a service learning teaching assistant for professor Erin Brown's Foundations of Community Engagement course for the fall 2012 semester.
Sabrina Hise graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2012 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Religious Studies. She continues to pursue her education, working on a graduate degree in Gerontology. She currently works at VCU within the School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral Health Promotion and Community outreach, providing support to the Dental Hygiene and Service Learning programs.
Abigail Johnson graduated from the Merrimack College in May 2012 with a BS in human development and a minor in education. Abigail has been involved in several service learning projects and enjoys this work. She plans to attend Merrimack College's education fellowship program for her masters.
Aubrey Keady-Molanphy is a student at the Tulane School of Architecture, where she is a candidate for a Masters of Architecture for 2015. After graduation, she hopes to continue her education by receiving Masters degrees in arts and engineering and to become a licensed architect.
Allison Kuriloff graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in the spring of 2012 with a B.A. in sociology and gender and women's studies. While at Bowdoin, Ally co-founded, with Jordan Payne, Curtain Callers, Bowdoin?s only musical theater club. Ally is currently a Programs and Events Associate with the Family Equality Council, a national LGBT family rights non-profit based in Boston. Ally plans to pursue a J.D. and devote her life to civil rights and social justice.
Skyler Larrimore graduated from Macalester College in 2012 with a BA in Sociology and Geography, as well as a concentration in Urban Studies. She is currently serving as a yearlong Americorps VISTA community organizer with Aeon, a nonprofit affordable housing developer in Minneapolis. Skyler intends to pursue a career in community development and community organizing, supporting fair housing, local economies, and sustainability initiatives.
Joy Liu will graduate from Duke University in May 2014 with a BA in Public Policy and a certificate in Global Health.
Yeimarie Lopez graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2012 with a Bachelor in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. At University of Michigan, she works closely with Social Work Allies for Immigrant Rights, a group which brings advocacy around this important social issue of immigrant rights to students and the community at large. She hopes to pursue a career working with families who have immigrated to the United States.
Joseph Mackel is a student at the University of Notre Dame and will graduate with a BS in Biological Sciences in 2013. Joseph plans to pursue further studies in the field of public health.
Jared Maybon is a student at Boise State University, and will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in English Teaching in May of 2013. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
Corina McIntyre graduated from the University of California - Los Angeles in June 2012 with a B.A. in Philosophy. She is currently an intern with the Santa Barbara Public Defender?s Office and a volunteer for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County. Corina plans to attend law school and pursue a career in criminal law or public interest law.
Freesia McKee graduated in May 2012 from Warren Wilson College with a BA in gender and women's studies and a minor in creative writing. Since then, she has enjoyed facilitating social justice, power and privilege, and leadership activities for 7th through 11th graders in partnership with the Civic Education Project, Johns Hopkins University, and non-profit organizations throughout Baltimore.
Aleenah Mehta graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in May 2012 with a BA in politics and economics and a minor in history. She is now a member of The Urban Farmers' Board of Directors and is involved in additional farm to school service learning projects. She plans to attend grad school for food studies to help create a more food secure world.
Laura ?Lo? Mishne graduated from The Ohio State University in June 2012 with a BA in Sociology and Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies. Laura has been involved with the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program since September 2010 and is currently volunteering at the International Headquarters. She is currently a dual Masters candidate in Bryn Mawr College's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
Giulia Molisani will graduate from Nazareth College in December 2012 with a BS in Business Administration. She is eager to begin a career in Human Resources and pursue a graduate degree in Organizational Management.
Emi Nakamura is a student at Princeton University and will graduate with a BA in Music with a certificate in Theatre in 2013. She will spend an additional year at Princeton after graduation to complete her teaching certificate. Emi hopes to pursue a career in the theatre industry as a composer.
Amar J. Patel is a senior at Bowdoin College and will graduate with a BA in Government & Legal Studies and Economics. He plans to attend law school and pursue a career in public interest law.
Jordan Payne is originally from Overland Park, Kansas. She graduated from Bowdoin College in the spring of 2012 with a B.A. in Government & Legal Studies and Sociology. While at Bowdoin, Jordan co-founded Bowdoin's only musical theater club called Curtain Callers with Ally Kuriloff. Jordan will attend Northeastern University School of Law in the fall of 2012. Though not certain what type of law she will practice, Jordan is passionate about LGBT civil rights, alternative dispute resolution, and public interest law.
Joe Praska graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Sociology and a Minor in Urban Studies. Joe has been involved in several service-learning projects with various organizations across the Twin Cities and is one of the University of Minnesota's Community Engagement Scholars.
David Rosenthal graduated from the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University in 2012 with a BA in Professional Writing and Political Science. He is currently pursuing a career in international civil service.
Linda Scheiber is a student at the University of Notre Dame and will graduate in May 2013 with a degree in American Studies and Environmental Science. Linda plans to pursue teaching through a two-year service program.
Lauren Sepanski graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fordham University in May 2012 with a B.A. in American Studies. While at Fordham, she received the Orestes Brownson Award and the Alvin Leonard Award, both for academic excellence and service. She also had work published in the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal. Lauren plans to pursue a Ph.D. in American Studies.
Robert ?Diesel? Shomaker is a few credits shy of two associate?s degrees from Hocking Community College. He currently works in steel manufacturing. Robert has applied to The Ohio State University and plans to obtain his Bachelor?s degree in Architecture and Engineering in order to achieve his entrepreneurship goals.
Kaitlin Toyama graduated from Occidental College in May 2012 with a BA in Urban & Environmental Policy. She looks forward to maintaining a lifelong relationship with the Little Tokyo community and is currently planning to follow her passion for environmental justice into a masters or JD program.
Erica Warner graduated from The Ohio State University in March 2012 with a BA in Criminology and Sociology. She plans to pursue a career in the juvenile justice system.
Brandon ?The B? Willis is a few credits shy of an associate?s degree from Hocking Community College. He currently works in landscaping. Brandon plans to continue his higher education majoring in business in order to achieve his entrepreneurship goals.
Rebecca Wulforst will graduate from Nazareth College in December 2012 with a BS in Business Administration. She plans to start a career in Human Resources and possibly pursue a graduate degree in Human Resource Management.
Taryn Yudaken is a student at the University of Southern Maine and will graduate in December 2012 with a BA in Media Studies and Women and Gender Studies. Taryn hopes to pursue a career that involves both her majors, but will likely attend graduate school first.
