Penn State features a rolling admissions process, which means there is no deadline for applying and we accept students until we are full.
Your best chance of being accepted is to apply via "Early Action" by November 1. All first-year students who have a completed application for Penn State Berks submitted by November 30 will considered for one of our merit-based scholarships.
We recommend future Penn State students apply for admission by submitting an application through your My Penn State account. MyPennState is your personal Penn State portal and it is where you will:
- find your application;
- submit the Self Reported Academic Record;
- check the status of your application;
- receive your admissions decision; and
- accept your offer of admission and secure an on-campus housing contract if you want to live in our residence halls.
IMPORTANT: Penn State does not need your high school transcript while you are applying. You must manually fill out and submit a Self Reported Academic Record for 9th-12th grades of high school to be reviewed for admission. We will not request an official transcript until after high school graduation and after you have committed to Penn State.
Penn State is currently "test optional." When filling out the application, you will be asked if you choose to submit standardized test scores or apply without them. It is important to note that whichever you decide is a permanent decision. Once you answer that question you cannot change it either way.
If you have visited Penn State Berks, you're eligible to have your $65 application fee waived! To have your fee waived, submit your Penn State application through My Penn State. You can apply to Penn State via The Common Application and the Coalition application, but we are unable to waive the application fee through those applications.
