Penn State University admission is a "rolling admissions" process- this means there is no deadline for applying and we accept students until we are full.
Your best chance of being accepted is to apply via "Early Action" by November 1st. All First Year students who have a completed application for Berks submitted by November 30th will considered for one of our merit based scholarships. To help give students more time to apply via Early Action Penn State is extending the 2021 Early Action deadline to November 15, 2020.
We recommend future Penn State students apply for admission by submitting the Penn State application through your My Penn State account. MyPennState is your personal Penn State portal and it is where you will find your application, the Self Reported Academic Record, the status of your application, receive your admissions decision, and where you can accept your offer of admission and secure an on-campus housing contract if you want to live in our Residence Halls.
*IMPORTANT: PSU does not want your high school transcript while you are applying. You must manually fill out and submit a Self Reported Academic Record for 9th-12th grades of high school to be reviewed for admission. We will not request a high school transcript until after graduation and after you have committed to Penn State.*
**New for 2021: Penn State will be "test optional." When filling out the application you will be asked if you choose to submit standardized test scores or apply without them. It is important to note: whichever you decide is a permanent decision. Once you answer that question you cannot change it either way.**
If you have visited Berks, and want the $65 application fee waived, you must submit the PSU application through My Penn State. You can apply to PSU via The Common Application and the Coalition application, but we are unable to waive the application fee through those applications.
