The Penn State Berks Multicultural Office will hold a Thanksgiving Dinner to introduce international students to this traditional holiday on Thursday, November 13, 2014, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. This event is open to Penn State Berks students, faculty, and staff, and attendees must have a ticket for the event.
Penn State Berks will host a Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 5 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. The 2014 Fall Entrepreneurship Speaker Series Panel Discussion will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, from 1 to 2:15 p.m. in room 121 of the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Three entrepreneurs from area companies will share their experiences with our campus community. The panelists include Ms. Saskia Foley, CEO of RADIUS, Mr. James D. Kurtz, President of RER Energy Group, and Mr. Joseph M. Sinclair, President of Solid Dynamics.
Penn State Berks students in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI) Minor will hold two workshops for middle school Reading School District students in the Penn State Educational Partnership Program (PEPP) on October 29, 2014. The PEPP students will learn about entrepreneurship, self-assessment, and starting a business plan.

The Penn State Berks Department of Theatre will present an Obie award-winning dark comedy, which cannot be named due to Dramatists Play Service, Inc. amateur leasing restrictions, on November 6, 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2014 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $7 for Penn State faculty and staff with ID, and $5 for Penn State students with ID.
The Qadim Ensemble celebrates the common musical and spiritual heritage of the Near East. Their performance is part of the Penn State Berks Arts and Lecture series and will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Penn State Berks students enrolled in the college's LGBTQ Identity, Culture and Communication course, part of both the Women's Studies and the Communication Arts and Sciences curriculum, visited New York City October 4-5, 2014, to participate in various educational activities associated with LGBTQ culture, history and activist, with a special emphasis on how LGBTQ culture is reflected in the arts.
