The Penn State Berks Occupational Therapy Assistant Program has been awarded the maximum of 10 years of re-accreditation by ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education), the national accrediting body for Occupational Therapy programs. The recent announcement is a result of the program's self-study and on-site visit with ACOTE. The self-study was a process that took over a year-and-a-half to complete and culminated with a three-day on-site visit by members of the ACOTE accreditation team in April 2014.
Penn State Berks students spent the spring semester researching and writing about the history of the first three decades of the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading. Their work culminated in the recent publication of a book titled A History of the First Three Decades of the Olivet Boys & Girls Club in Reading, Pennsylvania.
