First-year students move into residence halls on August 21

Penn State Berks will welcome nearly 400 first-year members to its residential community as part of the campus' annual orientation program on Friday, August 21, 2015. Students will move into the residence halls from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a welcome reception for students and their families at the Perkins Plaza from 2:30-4:00 p.m., which will be open to students, faculty, and staff of the college.

High school students invited to spend a summer morning on campus

High school students who will be seniors this fall and their families are encouraged to attend the Penn State Berks Spend a Summer Morning program, on Saturday, August 1, 2015, beginning at 9 a.m. Information will be provided to students who are considering admission for the fall of 2016.

Penn State Health Holds Celebratory Event

Penn State Health held an event to celebrate St. Joseph Regional Health Network's recent transfer to Penn State Health. The event was held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, beginning at 11 a.m. at Penn State Health St. Joseph, 2500 Bernville Road, in Reading . The celebration included remarks by key stakeholders and the unveiling of a Penn State Nittany Lion statue and new Penn State Health St. Joseph signage.

Adult information session to be held July 14

The Office of Continuing Education will hold an adult learner information session on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, beginning at 6 p.m. This comprehensive information session will provide adults with information on credit, noncredit, and certificate programs at Penn State Berks. In addition, representatives will be available to answer questions on admissions, academic advising, financial aid, and registration.

Penn State Berks among colleges and organizations to receive PLCB grant

Berks County communities working to help teenagers and young adults better understand the consequences of drinking and alcohol abuse received nearly $260,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Sen. Judy Schwank, Rep. Tom Caltagirone, and PLCB Chairman Tim Holden announced the grant recipients today during a press conference at Penn State Berks. Representatives from area colleges and municipal governments joined them.
