College holds Pioneers Reunion

Penn State Berks will hold its first Pioneers Reunion for graduates who attended what was formerly known as the Wyomissing Center of the Pennsylvania State University from 1960–1972. The reunion will be held on Friday, May 19.

2017 Softball South Division All-Conference Team

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2017 Softball South Division All-Conference selections with the top 20 student-athletes in the division receiving honors on the first and second team. Each All-Conference team consists of 10 student-athletes regardless of position. Four individuals were also honored by the NEAC with annual awards that are selected in a vote by the conference coaches.

Berks offers cyber security camp

This summer, Penn State Berks will host two GenCyber camps for rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders. The camps are funded by a GenCyber grant that Penn State Berks received from the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation. The camps will take place June 19–23 and July 10–14. The registration deadline is May 15.
2017 Erickson Discovery Grants

Record 83 undergraduates receive 2017 Erickson Discovery Grants

Eighty-three students from across Penn State’s campuses will each be awarded a $3,500 Erickson Discovery Grant for summer 2017 through the Office of Undergraduate Education. The students will use the funds to immerse themselves in original research, scholarship, and creative work under the direct supervision of a faculty member.

Penn State Berks recently was honored with the United Way 2017 Community Partnership Award during the United Way 54th Annual Dinner and Awards, held on Thursday, April 20, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Reading.

Berks student government president heads to law school

Joseph Chletsos will graduate this Saturday, May 6, with a Bachelor of Science in business. During his time at Penn State Berks, he has done more than earn a degree: He has made a lasting contribution to the college. Chletsos has been accepted to Michigan State College of Law in East Lansing, Michigan, where he hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of others.

Two important experiences inspired Cezary Mikoluk to want to become a doctor. Now halfway toward that goal, he graduates magna cum laude from Penn State Berks this spring, and is on his way to studying medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey.
