The Student Government Association (SGA) represents the student body and is composed of elected officers and representatives from various interest groups of both freshmen and upperclassmen. It mainly focuses on the areas of academic affairs, student services and activities, and physical facilities as they relate to the enhancement of student life.

There are numerous committees which a student may join including Governmental Affairs, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Diversity Affairs. Through committees like these, the SGA initiates and enacts legislation regarding student matters. Working closely with the Office of Student Affairs and the campus senates, the SGA is the officially recognized representative of the student body to the administration and faculty.
The SGA meets on Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. in Gaige 121. Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings. Membership is open to any interested student. Every meeting has an open forum in which any issue can be discussed.
