Penn State Berks Chancellor George Grant Jr. recently announced the appointment of Todd A. Migliaccio as the associate dean for academic affairs following a national search. Migliaccio will begin his appointment on July 15, 2021.

Randall Fegley, associate professor of history and political science at Penn State Berks, recently published a book titled "Reflections on Old Order German Sects in Berks County: Past, Present and Future" through Masthof Press and Bookstore. In addition to Fegley, the book is edited by 2012 Penn State Berks alumnus Owen Reitenauer and Zachary Stoltzfus.
As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Penn State Berks will host its eighth annual Latino Forum for high school students from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
Jessica Schocker and Justin De Senso were recently awarded a Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources grant. The grant, "Teaching Critical Race Theory with Primary Sources," will fund Schocker and De Senso’s co-teaching of SOC 205.
Penn State Berks will hold two webinars in July for both accepted and prospective students, providing participants with an opportunity to ask questions and connect with campus experts.
"Engaging Perceptions: A Collaboration of Scholars and Artists" explores the relationship between academia and the arts. This upcoming exhibition in Freyberger Gallery will kick off with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16.
