Despite being out of college for over a year now, former baseball standout Toby Welk is still receiving recognition for his brilliant career at Penn State Berks.
Toby Welk was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft. Welk was the second Division III player to be taken in the 2019 draft.
The senior standout continues to make history as he became the first member in Penn State Berks history to be drafted by one of the major U.S. sports leagues.
Welk is not only the first National Player of the Year in Penn State Berks history, but also the first ever recipient from the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).
