Penn State Berks students, in collaboration with Olivet Boys and Girls Club, will host a Sock Hop Prom for the residents of Country Meadows from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on April 9. The event will include various stations for the residents to enjoy, including dancing, karaoke, root beer floats, and origami corsage/boutonniere making.

Penn State Berks students will turn Opportunity House, the Reading emergency shelter, into a five-star restaurant for its clients on the evening of Tuesday, March 28. Students will serve a four-course meal to Opportunity House clients, as well as an evening to remember.
Pradip Bandyopadhyay, division head of science at Penn State Berks, is working to help a future generation of engineering students to succeed. In 2015, he was invited to collaborate on a proposal titled “Sustainable Bridges from Campus to Campus: Retention Models for Transitioning Engineering Students.”

Penn State Berks students will prepare and serve dinner to the clients of Opportunity House, the Reading emergency shelter, on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 4:45–8 p.m. Students volunteer regularly at Opportunity House as part of the college’s commitment to community service.
