This fall, two Penn State Berks professors traveled nearly 4,500 miles to the University of Split in Croatia and they could not believe how much things had changed in the one year since they had last been there.

Gabriela Gonzalez Magana overcame odds to succeed

Gabriela “Gabby” Gonzalez Magana is a Penn State senior majoring in computer engineering with a concentration in robotics. She emigrated to the United States from Mexico in 2011 at the age of 13. “Now, I am making plans to graduate with a B.S. in computer engineering from Penn State in December 2020 and want to earn a Ph.D. and work in industry," Magana said.

Resilient Resumes team places third in Nittany AI Challenge

The Resilient Resumes team took third place in the Nittany AI Challenge, held at Penn State University Park campus on September 10, 2019. The team received $5,000 from Nittany AI Alliance for their web application designed to walk the user through the resume creation process.
