As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Penn State Berks will host its seventh annual Latino Forum for high school students from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
Prospective students are invited to a Penn State Berks admissions program and tour from 9 a.m. (registration starts at 8:30 a.m.) Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Perkins Student Center, located just off Broadcasting Road in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
The Penn State Berks Freyberger Gallery will host the Nancey Seghetti Memorial Exhibition in memory of the late artist from Oct. 17 to Nov. 14, with an opening reception at 6 p.m. Oct. 24.
Penn State Berks will host the second annual Fall Fest on Friday, Oct. 25. The event has two-parts — a family-oriented program from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Perkins Plaza and the “witching hour” haunted tours from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Berks LaunchBox will hold a special Meetup titled “Learn Trending, Trademarks and Traction” and a free bilingual four-week course on the basics of 3D printing and computer design.
Internationally acclaimed educator, lecturer, and author of this year’s Common Reading selection Saundra McGuire will visit Penn State Berks to discuss her book and share the tools and strategies.
Beginning in mid-September, Penn State Berks will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and host a variety of events; each event is intended for a specific audience, including prospective and current students, the campus community, and the general public.
This fall, Penn State Berks welcomed 110 international students to the campus community. Of that number, 40 are new students. To help these students succeed, the college has implemented a variety of programs and events.
Actor and singer-songwriter Bryan Terrell Clark, best known for his starring role as George Washington in "Hamilton: An American Musical on Broadway," will visit Penn State Berks at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium.
Students, faculty and staff at Penn State Berks will welcome family and alumni to campus when the college hosts its annual Family and Homecoming Weekend, from Thursday, Sept. 26, to Sunday, Sept. 29. This year’s theme is ‘Once upon a time at Berks.’
