The Penn State Berks baseball team had its stellar 2018 season come to a close after battling to the very end in a 4-1 setback to Western New England University on May 18 at the NCAA Regional Tournament.
The Penn State Berks baseball team placed three members on the All-NEAC First Team and one on the second team, while bringing home three of the four individual awards, as announced by the conference May 9.
The Penn State Berks softball team had to do things the hard way as it worked back from the loser's bracket with three wins on May 5 to claim its fifth North Eastern Athletic Conference championship in six years. Berks topped Wilson College, 8-0, in five innings to start off the day. The team then had to beat Keuka College twice, which it would go on to do by scores of 12-3 (five innings) and then 5-0 in the winner-take-all seventh game of the tournament.
Jess Rozick was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year and the Penn State Berks softball team had six members earn all-conference honors, as voted on by the league's coaches.
The Berks' women's tennis team won the title for the third time in four years and the ninth time in program history. The Nittany Lions have won their seventh consecutive contest and improve to 9-5 on the season.

Michelle Kiss finished at the individual winner to help lead the Penn State Berks women's cross country team to its first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship title in program history on Saturday morning on the campus of Morrisville State College.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2017 Softball South Division All-Conference selections with the top 20 student-athletes in the division receiving honors on the first and second team. Each All-Conference team consists of 10 student-athletes regardless of position. Four individuals were also honored by the NEAC with annual awards that are selected in a vote by the conference coaches.
The Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Penn State Berks Benefitting THON student group, and the Reading Royals, are teaming up for the seventh consecutive year to hold a fundraising event to benefit THON, the world's largest student-run philanthropy dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families.
