This year, the Penn State Berks Alternative Spring Break program will take a group of six students, along with a staff adviser, to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Penn State Berks Chancellor R. Keith Hillkirk and his wife, Suzanne, have recently created a new endowment, the Hillkirk Family Program Endowment for Ethics and Sustainability. Penn State Berks will join local community organizations to host a free Family Nature Festival from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on April 28. The festival will be held on a half-mile section of the Schuylkill River Trail, beginning at the River Road trailhead in Northwest Reading across from Baer Park.
