The Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Affiliate Program Group (APG) consists of approximately 30 WPI alumni that meet every other month to plan their activities, reminisce, and discuss ways that they, as a group, can give back to an institution that gave them so much. The group works on projects such as their annual reunion, annual breakfast, WPI scholarship, WPI exhibit (located in the Thun Library), and most recently, a plaque honoring the WPI building as well as other opportunities to support and enhance the campus.
In the fall of 2000, the WPI APG established the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute Engineering Scholarship. This endowed scholarship provides recognition and financial assistance to undergraduate students majoring in engineering at Penn State Berks, who have demonstrated financial need. All Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute alumni are welcome to attend meetings, which will be held every other month at 2:00 p.m. in the Janssen Office Building living room.
