Alumni “Flying High” with Customizable Drones

It all began when Kyle Moyer, Anthony Rothenberger, and Jason King, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology majors who graduated in December 2014, were enrolled in the same course, Electromechanical Design Project Preparation and Electromechanical Design Project. They were tasked with designing and building a project, so they worked as a team to build a drone.

Women's soccer wins third straight NEAC Title

The Penn State Berks women's soccer team won its third straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship after defeating Penn State Abington, 3-0, to earn another trip to the NCAA Regional Tournament. The Nittany Lions (16-2-2) tallied the first goal of the game early in the first half and took some momentum into the intermission with a score in the 42nd minute of the opening period. Berks then built a comfortable lead with 6:17 into the second half and were able to drop back and play defensive.

Penn State Berks celebrates Veterans Day

The Student Veterans of America-Penn State Berks Chapter will sponsor a Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Perkins Student Center, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public but attendees must register by Friday, November 6, 2015 to JJW26@psu.edu.

Berks women's soccer closes out regular season with shutout

COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 12-0 victory on the road over SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions finish the regular season with an overall record of 14-2-2 and are 12-0 in conference competition. Berks won its fourth straight NEAC Regular-Season Championship and will host the postseason tournament November 7-8, 2015.

Penn State Berks receives “Military Friendly”

Penn State Berks was recently designated as “military friendly” due to its commitment to serving veterans. The campus received the designation of 2016 Military Friendly School from Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine.

College to host Berks County Interscholastic Mathematics Competition

Penn State Berks will host the 2015 Berks County Interscholastic Mathematics Championship Competition on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center. This year, 57 high school students from 19 Berks County school districts are participating in the competition. In the event of inclement weather, the competition will take place on Thursday, November 5.

College holds Thanksgiving Dinner for international students

The Penn State Berks Multicultural Office will hold a Thanksgiving Dinner to introduce international students to this traditional holiday on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. This event is open to Penn State Berks students, faculty, and staff, and attendees must have a ticket for the event. Those interested in attending can sign up in the Multicultural Office, room 13 of the Perkins Student Center.
