After three years of concerted effort on the part of many community volunteers, including faculty and staff from Penn State Berks, Cuban artist Julio Cepeda finally arrived in Berks County in mid-August.
One of the Langan LaunchBox teams of entrepreneurs focused on developing sustainable technology has advanced to the fundraising stage of Lancaster’s Great Social Enterprise Pitch, an idea incubator and business plan competition.
Thirty-two students, 10 faculty and staff members, and 25 community volunteers joined forces as part of the Penn State Berks Day of Service on Sunday, Aug. 26.
Penn State Berks will hold its Unity Day celebration, an annual Penn State event that helps bring students, faculty, staff and community members together to celebrate diversity, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
In celebration of the college’s 60th anniversary, the Penn State Berks Office of Academic Affairs is hosting three events in September which will showcase the college’s land-grant mission of teaching, research and community service.
