Penn State Berks will hold its Unity Day celebration -- an annual Penn State event that helps bring students, faculty, staff and the community together to celebrate diversity -- from 12:15-1:15 p.m Sept. 20. Activities will take place under the tent at the Perkins Plaza, rain or shine. All Unity Day activities are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

He will discuss his experience as a survivor of one of the deadliest shootings in the country at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium at Penn State Berks. This presentation is free and open to the public.

Approximately 110 orientation leaders (OLs) are the first to welcome students to Penn State Berks and help to ease the transition to college life.

Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent James “Fitz” Fitzgerald, a 1975 Penn State graduate and a former student at Penn State Berks, is the agent responsible for bringing the Unabomber to justice. He is portrayed in the scripted Discovery Channel miniseries titled, "Manhunt: Unabomber," which premiered Aug. 1.
