The Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association presented a check for $5,000 to the Berks Benefitting THON student organization at its annual dancer send-off Feb. 16 in the Perkins Student Center Lion’s Den.
The Penn State Berks Theatre Department will present "Greater Tuna" by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. Admission is free, but space is limited and donations to the Theatre Department will be accepted.

A new class of 171 Penn State Berks students will receive their baccalaureate and associate degrees at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the Beaver Community Center when Berks hosts the fall 2016 commencement ceremony.
Esteemed author Katherine Ramsland will discuss her latest book, "Confessions of a Serial Killer, the Untold Story of Dennis Rader the BTK Killer," at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in room 101 of the Franco Building, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public.
Dave Pelzer will discuss the importance of resilience and perseverance as he divulges his own personal history at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This lecture is free and open to the public, but due to the sensitive nature of his lecture, audience members be at least 18 years old.
This fall, as part of the global studies degree program's "Global Oscars Comes to Berks," Penn State Berks will present two films: "A War" on Thursday, Nov. 17, and "Son of Saul" on Thursday, Dec. 1, both at 6 p.m. in 121 Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. All four films are free and open to the public.
Penn State Berks benefitting THON, a student group, will hold a “Showcase of Art,” which will display selected work submitted by fourth-graders in Berks County school districts, from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Janssen Conference Center, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public.
New Generation Bollywood Dance Company will bring the colorful sights and sounds of all that is joyous about East Indian “Bollywood” dance, as well as traditional dance, to Penn State Berks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. This cultural performance is free and open to the public.
